Eleganta in forma pura
Renovata total in urma unui incendiu ce a avut loc in urma cu 2 ani, Pensiunea Flamingo de 4 stele si-a redeschis portile in luna mai 2014. Cu toate ca este situata in centrul orasului Sighetu Marmatiei este un loc ferit in care linistea se imbina armonios cu natura.
Ce este special la Pensiunea Flamingo? Ambianta placuta si atmosfera calda si prietenoasa in care se vor imbina intr-o armonie perfecta eleganta cu amabilitatea personalului, calitatea serviciilor cu rafinamentul si savoarea preparatelor culinare.
Localizarea sa in centrul orasului, face vizitarea punctelor de atractie ale orasului cum ar fi Memorialul victimelor comuniste, Casa Elie Wiesel, Muzeul de etnografie, sa se poate face foarte usor pe jos.
Complexul turistic Flamingo este format din:

- Restaurant
- Sala de evenimente

- Sala de conferinte

Istoria/Our History
Prima atestare scrisa legata de imobilul din strada George Cosbuc nr 36, astazi Pensiunea Restaurant Flamingo, este din anul 1905, inscris in care este declarat proprietar dl Buczy Samuel, cetatean evreu din Sighetu Marmatiei. In anul 1922 imobilul a fost cumparat de catre cetateanul, evreu Itic Appel. In anul 1949, a fost cumparata de Coman Arthur un mare inginer silvic botanist si inginer topograf care a facut din acest imobil un adevarat muzeu de stiintele naturii .Ulterior a donat catre Muzeul de stiintele naturii din Sighetul Marmatiei, pe langa celebrul ``Herbar ing. Coman Arthur`` cu peste 16000 de planse, colectii de flori de mina, mamifere, pasari etc.
Deoarece Dl Coman nu a avut copii casa a fost mostenita de nepoata lui Domnisoara Coman Irina care a fost educatoare la casa de copii din Sighet si care din anul 1982 a devenit proprietara imobilului. Cei care au cunoscut-o pe domnisoara Irina “CICO NENY” asa cum I se spunea, povestesc de ea ca de o mare iubitoare de copii care aduna in frumoasa ei casa copiii din vecini carora le spunea povesti si le dadea prajituri si bomboane.
Actualul proprietar, DL Zaharovits Alexandru a cumparat casa de la D-ra Coman in anul 1994, iar din anul 2004 imobilul isi schimba destinatia in Pensiune si Restaurant.
In ianurie 2012 pensiunea a ars, fapt pentru care a fost renovata total si a devenit ceea ce se vede astazi, un “colt de eleganta in esenta pura”.
The first written attestation related to the building situated on the street George Cosbuc No. 36, nowdays with a new name: Pension Flamingo Restaurant was in 1905, where a Jew citizen from Sighet, Mr Buczy Samuel is registred as its owner. In 1922 the building was bought by the Jew citizen, Itic Appel. In 1949, it was sold to Arthur Coman, a great botanist and forestry engineer who transformed this property in a real museum of natural sciences and then donated it to the Museum of Natural Sciences from Sighet ,beside the famous `` Herbarium ``eng. Arthur Coman with over 16,000 drawings, collections of mine flowers, mammals, birds, etc.
As Mr. Coman had no children the house was inherited by his niece Miss Irina Coman who was a teacher at an orphanage in Sighet and in 1982 she became the owner of the building. Those who knew Miss Irene, called by her nickname "CICO Neny" , say that she loved children very much and she was always inviting the kids from the neighborhood in her beautiful home to tell them stories and give them cookies and candies.
The current owner, Alexandru DL Zaharovits bought the house from Ms. Coman in 1994, but in 2004 the building changed its activity in Pension and Restaurant. In January 2012 the hotel had burned and it had been totally restored becoming what it can be seen today, a corner of pure elegance.
